Preparing to Delegate Your Marketing Projects

Posted on February 5th, 2010

So often, we find ourselves in knots feared a specific project tied. You know you need to get it done, but the fear keeps you hesitate. Organizational gurus tell you to “Break It Up” in steps “or” imagine how you feel when it is ready to be. ” These people do not have them in your projects glaring in their faces, then what they know. I have your solution. You need to delegate effectively. Note I did not say it just delegate. Here are some tips from both sides of the marketing project delegation fence.

My project: My Vision – When threatened with a project, you’re probably in one of two places. Either:

1) Know exactly what you want in the end, but have no idea how to get there, or

2) You’re at a complete loss and need someone to take you to.

In any case you need clarification before you can expect someone who can lead with positive results. If you do not know what you want, how the hell can you expect that we him? You need a clear idea of what you need, do not want examples of what you like and dislike, and what you want this project to provide financial statements for your company and / or customers. We are not clairvoyant.

Clarity of delivery without Instructions – After clarity, you can delegate the target is not the process? Some projects require a certain step-by-step process, but marketing projects often best for the person who left you delegate. The person who is your marketing project to life, probably better for this task than you, and you would not hesitate in the first place. We are presenting what we do and hatred are not good. It is hard-wired into our brains. Delegate the “what” not the “how”.

Set Do-It-and-Forget-It – You must be available for regular meetings and material requests. The worst thing you can do is transfer the project to have a strategy meeting and then a vacation. In the first weeks, you can bet these marketers is to require more information from you. We need enough information to understand a product, formulated with USP and a strong campaign drive to your destination. It does not matter if we are web developers or public relations specialists. We must find a way to communicate with you and verify that our progress is moving forward in the way that you need.

Get ready for fresh material – success comes from your preparation and communication with the person asking for the project. But remember, this is a marketing professional with whom you work. You are selling your project from the perspective of potential customers are not. What do they come from, you can relax with shock. Most of the good of us look at your product from the eyes of your customers. This is a skill that you have not likely, or it is clouded by your position. Remember to delegate the goal.
